"The Living Line"

Join us in Charlottesville on Monday, October 12, 2026, for an extraordinary live Ikebana performance and optional afternoon workshop with Louise Worner, an internationally recognized artist and teacher of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana—Japan’s innovative and expressive art of flower arranging.

Widely admired for her bold floral compositions and large-scale installations, Louise has spent nearly 30 years studying and teaching the Sogetsu tradition. Trained under Master Instructor Yoka Hosono and certified through the prestigious Sogetsu School in Tokyo, Louise is also an acclaimed educator and author. Her work spans international projects ranging from installations for Enso House in London and Hotel Tótem Madrid to stage designs for Studio Ghibli and a fragrance launch for Issey Miyake.

An Unforgettable Artistic Experience

Rarely witnessed in the United States, a Live Ikebana Performance is a captivating fusion of flowers, artistry, and music. Watch as dramatic large-scale floral compositions take shape in real time, revealing the expressive power of Ikebana.

Optional Workshop (Full Day Package)|

Guests may also reserve a place in an intimate two hour afternoon workshop, where Louise will personally guide participants in creating their own arrangements — including individual critique.
